  1. Lovely photos Joe. Have a great trip.

  2. On top of the world. Stunning.

  3. The pictures are beautiful and they also show the push it took it to do. Wonderful effort.

  4. Reminds me of one of my favorite Neruda quotes, Joe: “Someday, somewhere – anywhere, unfailingly, you’ll find yourself, and that, and only that, can be the happiest or bitterest hour of your life.” I’m betting those moments atop Fuji veer much closer to happiest than bitterest. Be well and travel safe!

  5. Hi Joe,
It was inspiring listening to you speak in Sannomiya last weekend, thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences with us. It’s great that International athletes are making Japan a destination for trail running, I guess UTMF has put the country on the map!! Japan definitely has some great trail running to offer…….
These are incredible photos of Fuji and what a unique experience. Fuji san isn’t always easy to climb, as the Goddess can be temperamental with her weather especially at this time of the year, so well done on on the achievement. She’s definitely well worth the climb!!!
Glad to see that you are truly immersing yourself and enjoying all the unique experiences Japan has to offer.
By the way, love the quotes you choose to open each entry with…..

    :)
